This
business was founded by Roy Williams, the current
CEO, after a career of almost 25 years in the
paint industry, during which he specialized in
woodfinishing. As a Director of this company he
had the opportunity to travel extensively and
used these business trips to expand his knowledge
on modern woodfinish systems and equipment.
Woodfinish Management
was launched with the express purpose of filling
a need in the South African market for the introduction
of modern finishing systems and equipment.
The business originally
concentrated on wet finishing systems. The furniture
and related markets are dynamic and change constantly
and very soon dry finishing systems became the
norm. Woodfinish Management were able to meet
these new needs by supplying, for example, some
high output finish paper laminating lines to local
customers.
The introduction of these
and other dry finishing systems created the need
to process the large volumes of boards being finished
using these dry finishing systems.
Woodfinish Management
were able to maintain their dynamic growth and
started to provide numerous forms of woodworking
machinery such as panel sizing plants, CNC routing
machines, boring and doweling machines, vacuum
presses to name but a few.
For both the wet and dry
finishing markets, high quality sanding machines
were required by the market and again Woodfinish
Management met this need.
Today, Woodfinish Management
remains a compact family run business with four
Williams' making up the management team.
Our philosophy is to provide
complete solutions to our customers by supplying
high quality machines that give good trouble free
service with an absolute minimum of call backs.
Our after sales service
is geared to assisting our customers in optimizing
the machines that they have bought through us
be they worth tens of millions or only a few thousand
rand, rather than having to constantly repair
these machines.
In the market place it
is sometimes said that "one has to have money
to buy from Woodfinish Management". It is
however also recognised that we sell quality products.
We realize that with our
high quality products we are perceived to be expensive.
We make no excuse for this fact. Our customers
know that their payback is normally swift and
substantial.
