very old family business was established in 1865
and is well known all over the world for their
panel-sizing plants and handling systems which
are unparalleled in the world today.
Almost all of the large
panel sizing plants in the furniture and board
manufacturing industry in South Africa are Anthons.
Also numerous heavy duty
calibrating sanders have built up an enviable
record for quality and durability in the South
Africa market.
Woodfinish Management
has represented Anthon in South Africa for more
than 17 years.
From single axis saws, semi- to fully automatic
angle plants for highest performance - the
special requirements of the customer are
precisely included, from the project planning
stage onwards. Gantry saws, multiblade saws
and special saws complement the spectrum
of the cut to size plants.
Anthon plants cut to size different materials
professionally with high precision.
Thereto belong e.g.: Wood and wood materials,
plastics, PCB, gypsum carton and gypsum
fiber, insulating materials and also aluminum

machines can be supplemented by loading,
stacking and turning stations, as well
as the necessary transport equipment
(e.g. roller conveyors), to producr
complete sanding lines, e.g. loading
station with vacuum gantry or nip roller
pressure for the loading of hardwood
Sanding
As sanding units spirally grooved steel
contact rolls, sanding pads and combined
units are available. Anthon-sanding machines
are designed as single-or double sided sanding
machines, are available as stand-alone solution
or can be integrated into production lines.
Anthon-Sanding machines are available depending
on the type up to a working width of 2600
mm and a sanding accuracy of 5/100 mm.
Anthon GmbH develops and realizes innovative,
fully automatic packing lines for the panel
industry. The plants pack large quantities
of furniture parts with the aid of different
robots which are PLC controlled. Both 6-axis
industrial robots and 4-axis gantry robots
are integrated for this purpose. In combination
with different conveyor systems complete
packing lines are created, which are the
logic sequel of the approved Anthon panel
sizing plants.
Basic Capacity criteria of an Anthon Packing
line:
Merging of different parts including
assembly instruction and assembly-accessories
with optimized logistics.
Handling of parts without damage.
Optimum supply of the packing box running
in.
Prompt merging of parts to groups.
Precise approach of pickup position
for the packing robot.
Allowing at any time to see which part,
is when, where in the line.
Increased cycle capacity in comparison
to conventional packing lines.
