Modular construction for versatile jobs
The machine concept of the KSA 8 is universal
in its use as far as the working widths
and machine equipments are concerned, for
example:
- in window industry for calibrating,
fine sanding and lacquer sanding of mounted
window casements
- in panel industry for industrial sanding
of large veneered panels
- in interior companies for suppliers
of wall decorations and conference tables
- in office furniture industry for sanding
of desk tops
- in piano industry for treatment of
piano tops
The series KSA 8 as a sanding line with
one machine sanding from below and one sanding
from top reduces the handling costs required
for big workpieces.
Machine Features
A regular surface is obtained by the cross
sanding system. Raised fibres of veneer
are cut off against the pore edges by means
of the cross belt. For solid wood with annual
rings of different hardness, washing out
of the softer areas is avoided by the cross
belt. Double tensioning cylinders on the
longitudinal heads guarantee a regular belt
tensioning even for wider sanding belts
taking into account usual tolerances in
belt length. Fine-balanced guiding rollers
on the sanding heads minimize vibrations
and render possible a regular sanding operation.
Operation
Machines are operated by graphic operating
terminals enabling a central and simple
adjustment of sanding parameters. A program
memory ensures a fast machine conversion
to different working tasks by storing values
under a certain program number. A fault-finding-system
enables the operator to find and solve quickly
and directly machine errors and errors in
operation.
Interfaces for controlling workpiece height,
program number and feed speed secure a central
linking of the machine to a host computer.
An operating data acquisition module supplies
upon request production data for an internal
analysis. Optionally, an Industrial PC with
Touch Screen display could be used thus
providing additional control functions.
