Dovetail Joining Systems

With over 700 machines in production currently in South Africa, the Hoffmann Dovetail Joining System is one or the fastest and most trusted joining systems available.

The key advantage of the Hoffmann Joining System is the ability to produce strong joints quickly without having to clamp the joint or having to wait for the glue to dry. This means that a jointed workpiece may be further processed immediately after joining.

The Hoffmann Dovetail Joining System has almost unlimited applications in the woodworking industry. A wide range of Hoffmann Keys is available to guarantee the right size fastener for any given joint. Available in four different cross sections, W-1, W-2, W-3 and W-4, and in Lengths ranging from 1/4" up to 4", the Keys draw the material together tightly, providing pressure for a proper glue bond. No additional fasteners or clamps are needed to achieve a perfectly aligned joint.

MU-2

MU-2

Portable, benchtop model fitted with 450 W motor. To produce a single dovetail keyway with each machine cycle.

Operation:

By operating the hand lever, the workpiece is clamped and starts the motor. Continued pressure raises the router to a preset depth.

MS 35 Double Mitre Saw

The Hoffmann MS 35 Double mitre saw is the perfect machine for precise mitre cuts. The machine is designed with consideration not only for high productivity but most important for quality of cut. Veneered or polished profiles, aluminum parts, plastic extrusions and many other materials can be processed with this double mitre machine.

An infeed table (2.5 m net) is attached to the left of the machine for optimal positioning of the material. The fence table with digital stop (2.5 m net)is attached to the right of the machine for precise measurement control.

Operation:

The material is placed on the infeed table and pushed through to the fence stop.
The machine cycle is started by pressing the buttons on the two handed control panel.
The workpiece is securely clamped to the machine table.
The saw unit cuts the material (from above) and returns to the start position.
The clamps release and the wok-pieces can then be removed.
