Description of Manufacturer

 

Thinner veneers and thinner lacquer coatings on warped support plates with tolerances require the utmost care during an automatic sanding process. In spite of these existing tolerances an even pressing-on of the sanding belt on the whole surface of the workpiece should be guaranteed up to the edge area. 

Thanks to the CSD® pressure beam system we are in a position to adjust the press-on force of each individual press-on element in an accurate way in accordance to the size of the workpiece surface laying under this press-on element. Fully automatic and dynamic - without any intervention of the operator. By this a regular pressure build-up up to the edge area is ensured - independent from the workpiece shape. If slightly overlapping edge bandings should be smoothened, the press-on force of the press-on elements in the edge area could be increased - and this also in a asymmetric manner. 

Encapsulated integrated electromagnetis guarantee maintenance-free press-on elements over many years as these only have got one unique circuit switch - the lifting armature.

The press-on elements are soft-running and have a precise bearing and could compensate big thickness tolerances of max. 2mm

Sanding technology:

  • The innovative CSD®-pressure beam system with infinite pressure regulation of each individual pressure element, a great advantage in the sensible edge area.

  • Maintenance-free electromagnetic pressure elements, no compressed air

  • 32 mm precise sensing of the workpiece contours for exact pressure regulation -

  • In feed direction approx. 100 mm wide sanding pad for a fine surface, sanding belt length 2.150 mm

  • Large distance of the drive rollers of the longitudinal sanding belt for high tolerance compensation of max. 2 mm

 

KSA 8 - 2000 Wide Calibration & Fine Sanding Machine

   

For workpieces of more than 1400 mm width our programme offers the machine series KSA 8 that can be equipped with up to 6 sanding units. By means of a flexible modular system calibrating rollers, cross and longitudinal sanding units can be combined easily. Therefore, the machines are suitable for calibrating, veneer, fine and intermediate lacquer sanding tasks. A robust machine engineering guarantees an operation free from vibrations also for bigger sanding widths. The machines are suitable for the industrial three-shift-operation with high feed speeds. In the panel industry special press down systems ensure a safe transport and precise sanding on the whole workpiece surface.

UKP - Edge Sanding

   

Different sanding units for all processing tasks  

Heesemann edge and profile sanding machines are equipped with belt sanding units for an equal sanding result on the workpieces. By means of a flexible suspension of the sanding shoes the sanding units adapt optimally to the profile tolerances. For special tasks there are edge chamfering units, units for rounded edges and sanding wheel units available.


The position of the units is adjusted manually via a digital display. In case of frequent profile changes the units can be quickly re-adjusted by means of a NC-control. The sanding shoes are equipped with a quick-change device as standard. For automated processes revolving tools can be integrated in the sanding units. To ensure a high surface quality that can be compared with the cross sanding method in surface sanding cross sanding units can be used for straight edges and certain profiles. The easy operation is ensured by a graphic operating terminal with a programme memory and a fault finding indication.

Additionally, UKP machines can be equipped with milling units, lacquer and foil application devices as well as with drying units.
